From the Christopher Phillips Rare Seed Collection R7–Release #7 on September 3, 2015. This is a very special hybrid Christopher has been working on for 5 years now! This Capsicum chinense is in the F5 stage and F6 seeds will be sold. This has some really amazing traits such as dark leafed plants and stunning coloring on the pods. What makes this truly special is the productivity and beauty along with the variety having some major heat and flavor. We have worked on selecting dark leaf plants year after year and selecting for ideal pod shapes. Based on past grow-outs, the most common pod shape is an elongated blunt tipped Bhut shape, but we occasionally see some gorgeous Scorpion shaped pods appear too! The non-ripe pods are sometimes literally black and ripen to a beautiful red/burgandy. Christopher is very excited to make this available. Please see his Tumblr blog () to see more on this one.
