Aji Rainforest Pepper is from Brazil
A very uncommon variety of C. baccatum with a cool looking pod that has everything you could ever want from a baccatum pepper.
The aroma is sweet and fruity, possibly with a hint of ripe tomato. The flavor is nice and sweet also, fruity and then that lovely baccatum-y heat hits you, but it is an extremely clean and delicious heat
The heat is quite warm for a baccatum, probably beyond Cayenne’s heat.
It’s a great middle of the mouth heat that is enough to get your attention.
Aji Rainforest peppers start out a pale green, then turns a pale yellow which deepens to an orange and finally ripens to a bright red color
Slightly bumpy, pendant fruits 1” by 1-3/4”
